Joint Commission Releases Resource on How to Implement NPSGs on Health Care-Associated Infections

By January 1, 2010, hospitals and other accredited organizations are expected to be in full compliance with the three National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs) pertaining to health care-associated infections (HAI) (NPSG.07.03.01, NPSG.07.04.01, and NPSG.07.05.01). To help organizations prepare for and understand how to meet the requirements of the HAI NPSGs, The Joint Commission has developed a complimentary education program, now available on The Joint Commission Connect extranet.

(Note: You must be an accredited health care organization or an organization seeking Joint Commission accreditation to log in and access The Joint Commission Connect.)
