Florence Nightingale would have gasped: Nurses are the single largest group of health care professionals, but are quoted only 2% of the time in America's news media.

While this has changed during the pandemic and many news outlets are prominently featuring nurses and their heroism, there is still much work to be done to ensure nurses are no longer invisible and the public understands the depth and breadth of their value.
