The Inclusion and Belonging Committee established the DEIB Scholarship to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in ambulatory care nursing, healthcare, and the AAACN organization.
The DEIB Conference Scholarship was created to increase diversity within AAACN, financially support underrepresented groups in AAACN (including funding for hotel, travel, and registration), promote cultural competence, inclusivity, and belonging within AAACN, and encourage learning from diverse perspectives within conference.
This scholarship is maintained by members of the Inclusion and Belonging Committee, who review applications and determine the recipients.
The DEIB Conference Scholarship will be awarded to one recipient annually, providing complimentary AAACN conference registration (excluding Pre-Conference or Post-Conference sessions) and lodging at the headquarters hotel, and a stipend of up to $750 for travel and meal expenses. Inclusion and Belonging Committee members review applications and select the recipient.
