AAACN’s SIGs are designed to provide our members with a place to learn and network with colleagues. Our SIG Communities provide a platform to:
- Build Community and Content with your Colleagues – Enter a place for knowledge exchange, content curation, idea incubation, and professional networking.
- Join the Discussion – Ask or answer questions with your peers. Our dynamic discussion forums provide the tools you need to communicate with leaders and partners in your field.
- Browse the Document Library – Access a robust knowledge base of industry best practices, sample documents, spreadsheets, pictures, videos, and more.

Care Coordination and Transition Management (CCTM)
The CCTM SIG provides a forum to discuss CCTM related issues and best practices and share resources/tools with each other to support CCTM practice.
Federal Nursing
This new SIG combines the previously established Veteran Affairs and Tri-Service Military SIGs, encompassing the needs and enhancing the networking opportunities for federal nursing.
Leadership
The goal of the Leadership SIG is to develop and support ambulatory leaders.
Nurse-Sensitive Indicator (NSI)
Nurse-Sensitive Indicator (NSI) assess, evaluate, and articulate the value of ambulatory care nursing.
Pediatrics
The Pediatrics SIG represents ambulatory pediatric nursing as a key specialty within AAACN.
Staff Patient Education
The Staff Patient Education SIG promotes excellence in nursing practice through staff and patient education competency of nurses in ambulatory care.
Telehealth Nursing Practice
TNP uses the nursing process to provide nursing care and access to health care for individual patients or patient populations via phone or other technology, occurring in multiple health care settings.
Workplace Safety and Workforce Well-Being
The Workplace Safety Workforce & Well-Being SIG is dedicated to equipping members with knowledge, resources, and a platform for dialogue to meet the increasing demand for workplace safety information and address a growing focus on workforce well-being.
